Biography
The 90's was the golden age of the Pinoy Alternative scene. The Wala? was one of the emerging bands playing in bars like Club Dredd, Yosh Cafe, Club LA and others. Formed in 1993, they were included in Vicor Record's Filipino Alternative Collection Volume 2 with their song Pagkain ng Kabayo which was written and arranged by then guitarist, Eric Bicera. With the evolving members, Eric later on take charge of the microphone and guitars, joined by John Enage on bass guitar, which is also a session player for the Wuds, Dodong Cruz and Dong Abay. Pounding the drums is Rico Rayoso and Michael Liwanagan on guitars. Their songs are focused on social and environmental awareness such as Paraiso ng Kadiliman, Buhay Patay and Ganti ng Kalikasan to name a few. The lighter side of the band include songs like Mamimiss Mo, Kapayapaan and Araw. Keeping up with the times, The Wala? is still active and always ready to rock and roll.
