Biography
Before Pahina, Arvy and Ru formed an alternative metal band in Bulacan which named, Exorcist. Way back then, because they were just new, they used to do covers from Flyleaf for first few months until they decided to create their own stuff like ‘Escape This Fate’ and ‘Secret’. Because Ru was about to study in Manila, they decided to disband Exorcist and started Pahina after three months of being out of the scene. During the first quarter of the year, Renan Legaste (Guitars), Jaliwin Orbe (Bass) and John Philip Narvaez (Drums) became their official members. Both Renan and Philip stayed with the band for few months until they decided to leave for some personal reasons. At that time, they were replaced by Jheral Monterde (Guitars) and Rex Garcia (Drums).
Page 13 was the band’s first name since their first jam and practice happened last September 13, 2014. Until they decided to change it to Pahina after one of the band's colleague accused them for plagiarizing his band's name, Page 44.
They were continuously playing to various productions, rock groups within and around Manila. For their first year in the underground music scene, the band were able to release their first music video for their single ‘Escape this Fate’, with the help of DTP Events Management (former Death Threat Production), Total Events and Parallel Production last September 2016. The band’s journey was not became easy. Like other bands, they also experienced failure and hiatus due to sudden changes of members and other stuff. But the band didn’t stop from reaching their goal. They became part of some big events like Pepe Smith Rockfest Tribal Bandidos happened last June 2, 2018 at Amoranto Sports Complex, together with other awesome bands who are already in the scene for years. As of the moment, they were able to continue working on their first Extended Play Album entitled, 'The Testimony', and manage to release it in different areas under ‘Hear our Story’ tour.
