It was a day of celebrating with some of the best underground acts in the local scene and amazingly, in the international scene.

Events production team Finite Fam had successfully gathered up solid acts for the launch of their first-ever music festival, Finite Fest 2019 at One Two Three Block, Mandaluyong City last July 20, 2019. Giving justice to this year’s theme, “The Gathering”, the production surprised us with an awesome mix of underground acts coming from the country and three international bands from Asia and the U.S.

The festival was headlined by Of Virtue, a metalcore band from Michigan, USA. This promising and fast-rising band had already made it to the charts, garnering a place in the list of Top New Artist, Independent Album, and Current Hard Music. In addition, Of Virtue will also be touring in Asia this year for their album release.

Also in the roster were Hong Kong-based metal bands Parallel Horizons and ARKM. Both delivered such solid sets in which the audience dived and moshed into, also clearly giving them a warm welcome to the country as the excitement and energy truly overflowed inside the venue.

Local bands also got in the spotlight as some of each city’s finest got on stage and rocked their hearts out. There was Piledriver—hailing all the way from the South—, Similar//Intents, Reborn, Fragments, Orca, Palepaths (from the North), Stringdikato (Mindoro), Ashfall, pop-punk act False Contender, Brickcity, and Delaney. With such an amazing line-up, we’re sure everybody went home exhausted from headbanging and moshing.

Also featured in Finite Fest 2019 was a merch bazaar which showcased curated homegrown streetwear brands who flaunted their products and freshly released collections. Part of the merch roster were Nemesis Artwear, Minimalistik Clothing, Dusk Clothing, Vendetta, Bearskin, Roentgen Co., and Project Be Gone.

So, will there be another Finite Fest next year? We hope so! Congratulations, Finite Fam!
