Cry Your Eyes Out As Taylor Swift Unveils The Short Film of "All Too Well"

It’s a red drill! You unarguably remember everything too well, as Taylor Swift, one of the best-selling artists of all time, unfolded a heart-sinking short film of “All Too Well,” which was written and directed by none other than Taylor Swift herself.

The abounding visual and story of “All Too Well” was premiered last Friday in New York City and on YouTube - starring Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Dylan O’Brien (Teen Wolf). The two play as lovers who dwell in a roller-coaster relationship that would make you feel blue and leave your face like a wet weekend, as it vividly narrates their precious shared memories together.

It plays up scenes like where they danced around in the refrigerator light after an intense row, with a turning point of heart-wrenching part of making her feel like a secret that says, “You kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath.” Their relationship eventually led to split up, because of an age gap, where she felt nothing but heartache, when she should have been having the best moment for her 21st birthday. It goes with an agonizing line that would tear your heart apart, “You said if we had been closer in age, maybe it would have been fine / And that made me want to die.” The film became more remarkable as Taylor makes a cameo scene as a future self of Sadie, at the end.

Taylor Swift's 3-month relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal is rumored to be the subject of "All Too Well." The song strenuously steps one's emotion, as fans speculated that the character portrayed by Sadie and Dylan has an age difference that is exactly identical to Taylor and Jake's age gap during their dating stage in 2010. Jake was 30 years old when he surfaced strolling around Brooklyn with a 20-year-old Taylor. The devoted fan theories continue, with the blue light from the refrigerator being interpreted as Jake Gyllenhaal's cold treatment of Taylor Swift during their relationship, and the sunlight from the window being interpreted as Taylor Swift's warm and affectionate love for him. Neither of them, however, has confirmed the rumors.

In a recent interview, Taylor explained the reason for this version of the song, “The challenge here was to do something that would honor a song that fans have really, sort of, anointed as their favorite song. They chose this.”

Her 10-minute version of the song is a genius lyrical piece that was originally released in 2012. On November 12th, the short film premiered along with the launch of “Red” (Taylor’s Version), breaking two iconic records: The most-streamed album in a day by a female; And the most-streamed female in a day in Spotify history. Taylor has re-recorded the album as part of her project to reclaim her master recordings after the controversy over the sale of original masters by her label Big Machine to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings.

All Too Well short film has been tagged as number 1 trending for music on YouTube after its release, garnering more than 34 million views with hundreds of thousands of comments from supportive fans.
