Bulacan-based Blind Stereo Moon releases new feel-good single ‘Candle Lights’

After entering Spotify’s Philippine Viral 50 with their single ‘Alingawngaw (Acoustic)’ in 2019, Bulacan-based band Blind Stereo Moon returns with a new single ‘Candle Lights.’

Composed Julie Samonte, Dave Cruz, Juliane Bagay Cruz, and John Heris Suarez, Blind Stereo Moon’s sound is reminiscent of the 90s alternative/indie pop tradition with dreamy vocals and gentle melodies, rhythmic acoustic and electric guitars, steady beats and melodic bass lines, fused with ambient keyboard elements. Their influences include The Sundays and Moonpools & Caterpillars of the 90s combined with John Mayer and Jason Mraz of the early 2000s.

Under Bulacan’s independent music representation Darkus Music (led by Ace del Mundo of Orange & Lemons), Blind Stereo Moon’s journey has resulted to nine (9) official releases, media features on Rakista Radio, Rappler, ABS CBN’s One Music PH, the Wish FM Youtube channel, and Manila Bulletin and presence in major local music festivals such as UP Fair, Fête dela Musique Indie Stage, and Red Ninja Year 10 Fest. Their tracks were also featured on Spotify editorial playlists such as Pinoy Indie Mix, OPM Says Chillax, Acoustically OPM, and Chillax sa Gabi.

Their new single ‘Candle Lights’ is Blind Stereo Moon’s audacious attempt at combining their signature playful sound with even groovier drums
and bass, funkier electric guitar sounds, and breezier 80s-inspired synthesizers to depict the euphoria of a modern-day candlelit dinner.
