Ayun na muna..next time si Kafka naman..yun metamorphosis nya

Hindi ko natapos totally yun book..andami kasi eh..pero pinick-up ko yun libro dahil gusto ko yun the tell-tale heart..una kong nabasa yun nun high school kaya tumatak sa kukote ko....hehehe saka kailangan minsan ng buong attention mo pag binabasa mo si poe..minsan kasi misleading yun gawa nya..eh problematic sakin yun dahil pakiramdam ko meron akong attention span ng isang talangka na namimingwit ng hipon..bwahaha!!

Maganda din yun 1984 - albeit the very politically inclined issues na pinatutungkulan ng book. Nakakatakot isipin na pwedeng magkatotoo yun mga implications na binanggit ni Orwell..brrrrr....

Ngayon binabasa ko naman is Kurt Vonnegut's Slapstick which is talagang halos inaamag na yun mga pages. Sa sobrang kalumaan nun libro muntik na xa maghiwahiwalay nun binuklat ko halfway thru..anak ng tinapang tokwa, kung di ko lang mahal yun libro tatabi ko na sana sa kawalan yun..wahaha!!!..sunod sa list ko is Moby Dick at Catch-22..buti na lang meron ako nahahalukay na bookshelf..

^ am really trying to get hold of poe's poems and macabre works.
they say very tragic daw mga works ni poe.i have read a parcel of "the fall of the house of usher" and i want to read more of it and his other works as well to fortify the reviews ive read regarding his works.

Madami siya magandang works, actually siya ang nagpakilala ng gothic works sa american literature at mga detective stories siya din yata unang nagcontribute.

Maganda yun the fall of the house of usher. Recommended read din yun the pit and the pendulum as well as the Black Cat saka yun The Masque of Red Death.

Mahilig xa (or should I say obsessed...?) sa mga themes ng premature burial at schizophrenic paranoia. If you're really interested in gothic works pick up his book on national book store..buy the Selected Tales of Edgar Allan Poe (99php lang) wag yun The Tell-Tale Heart and other stories dahil aside from the fact na mas mahal sya eh konti lang stories dun..puro poems ata..hehehe libreng advertisement. Factoid lang, did you know Poe married his Cousin? Nauna nga lang mamatay sakanya which affected him deeply. In the end naging bum na raving lunatic si Poe..hay tragedy

Have you tried Narnia? Madami nagsasabi maganda sya pero ayoko basahin. Despite being a classic. Hehehe try mo din basahin yun The Lord of the Flies ni William Golding. Maganda daw sya kaya gusto ko basahin.

yeah...ive been looking for poe's collection of works but hell,laging out of stock yung penguin classic version.(the 99 bucks version) may isa din na puro poems naman ni poe na yung cover lay out is a reaper.drats.talk about bad luck.

nabasa ko sa isang illustrated biography ni poe na he is a son of an actress and his exposure to play had contributed to his prowess in writing.

i dunno about narnia...im not really into whimsical fantasy.but all i know is that some say narnia is somewhat similar to the bible.to have that idea is quite absurd for me but i kinda saw some similarities nga.oh well...

Para sure ka na makakuha nun book nya go to National Bookstore in Megamall..dun dika mauubusan ng works nya. I think meron xa stepfather eh, di lang sila talaga magkasundo. Saka mahilig din xa mag-criticize ng works ng iba publicly. Tignan mo na din yun iba pang classics dun...hehehehe..nagiipon pa akong pera..gusto ko basahin talaga yun Lord of the Flies.

Hmm..really don't like Narnia because it tried to put so much religious things in it. Nabasa ko pa minsan sa Autobiograph ni Tolkien na di nya masyadong nagustuhan yun works ni C.S. Lewis dahil nga in-embed nya yun kanyang new found christianity (They've been quite good acquaintances according sa kwento...) sa mga later books na ginawa nya..which includes Narnia of course. Hehehe..may Moby Dick na ako..maganda sigurado ito..gusto kong magbasa ng book ni Melville dati pa eh...hehehe try mo din basahin works ni Franz Kafka..meron ako makukuha kaso diko pa mabasa dahil mahaba haba yun backlist ng babasahin ko..

though may site akong alam na may copy ng mga classic books...nakakatamad magbasa through internet.iba pa din talaga pag sa book.bibliophile na tlaga ata ako.XD

that's one BIG reason why i did not dare to read C.S. Lewis' works. masyadong pa-revelation biblical mumbo jumbo ewan na ang dating sa kin.

Wahaha!!Book freak ka na din? Never been really fond of ebooks eh..kahit na libre xa? Dimo kasi pede dalhin kahit saan (ang sagwa naman magbasa ng ebook sa kusina habang nagluluto ka diba?

Hmm..dami din ako makukuhang classics buti nalang maganda yun bookshelf na kinukuhaan ko..andaming hidden treats..bwahaha!!! Aside from Kafka if you want humor go for Kurt Vonnegut. Yun slapstick pa lang nababasa ko pero madami pa xa works na hinahanap ko. Padami na ng padami tuloy sinusuggest ko sayo.. kung may extra money ka pa Tom Sawyer at Huck Finn maganda sila pareho..hehehe.

Sino pa ba? Have you read Saul Bellow? He's a great author daw pero diko pa nababasa..tinatapos ko pa kasi yun Something Wicked this Way Comes ni Ray Bradbury..so far so good...hehehe. Tapos nun Moby Dick na wahaha!! Herman Melville FTW!!!

I have all the Dune Series By Frank Herbert..the sci-fi works that made every worm on the planet cool beyond recognition..

Here's the actual saga by Frank Herbert there are only 4 of them but they were also continued by his son because of his unprecedented death..pero eto yun orig na apat..dinugtungan na lang..hehe

nyahaha!! time management boss kofi..time management..diko naman sinabing binabasa ko na lahat ng binibili ko agad agad..wahaha!!! in fact diko pa nasisimulan yun dune series dahil may binabasa pa ako..wahaha!! saka may work din ako inaasikaso kaya paunti unti lang pagbabasa..nagkakataon lang napapadaan ako sa booksale or bookstores kaya nakakakita ako ng mga titles na gusto ko..

yup may movie sila..mala star-wars ang dating pero ang major source ng energy ng planet nila eh mga dambuhalang bulate..ahehehe

Catcher in the rye too!! and the one i'l never forget is Wuthering Heights! Lupet! this one's undoubtedly a literary work of the first rank! plus the fine synopsis of wuthering heights i've read, twas awesome!.

finally got my hands on all Franz Kafka's major works..
still haven't got around reading it though..

woot! i am truly happy to have a book complete with all edgar allan poe's works. a massive book in paperback which i got for 90 pesos only and did i say it was complete?LOL
and my, i am truly blessed to find another poe's collection of famous stories complete with illustration.
i guessed good things come to those who wait.^_^

start reading The Fall of The House of Usher, The Pit and The Pendulum, Ligeia, Dupin's Tales (forgot the title), The Masque of Red Death, at syempre yun favorite ko The Tell-Tale Heart..dreary me..the list goes on and on..oh my..

I finally have a copy of George Orwell's Animal Farm for a measly 65 bucks..hehehehehe..just bought it last night when I was rummaging on the not-so popular book section..madalas dito nakatago mga gusto ko eh..hehehehe..

finally started reading Herbert West : Reanimator by H.P. Lovecraft..a classic short story from the great mind of this man..its a short story by the way..
