Question though: How much does a Canon 10-22mm lens cost over there in Pinas? If there's a big drop-off from the dollar cost ($709 last time I checked in NewEgg.com), I might as well buy mine over there when I go home for a vaca this December.

am not really sure kung how much ang price nya... nasa Iloilo City kase me.. limited yung sources namin dito
am sure it's cheaper sa Quiapo.. if only its easy for me to access Quiapo cgurado updated ako sa lahat ng prices ng cameras and gears.. XD XD

weeee another film buff... wehehehe
I have seen 450D.. nice nga eh.. kit lens is yung 18-55mm IS
^^;

That's the thing nga eh, I'm tempted to get the 450D pero I also like the 40D kit since it comes with the 28-135mm lens, I think. Once I get the 10-22mm and a 50mm (either the 1.4 or the 1. that'll pretty much cover a pretty decent range.

much worthy of an investment ang 40D dude.. and the 28-135mm IS USM lens is a th best walk-around lens so far of any EOS user...
if i'll upgrade my camera.. 40D would be a good choice

yung 40D.. is a good start for a professional photographer level... its durable and has already proven itself sa field in the hands of the professionals na..

Last update on February 8, 2011 4:24 pm by administrator.
uhuh.. the 1.4 is really really nice.. I do still think it would be the best pa rin for a fast prime lens.. well hopefully it will fit my budget.. wehehe
CANON EOS 350 DSLR 10.1 MEGAPIXELS + EFS 18-55MM LENS is my gadget at the moment. i also use my OLYMPUS E-500 DSLR 8.5 MEGAPIXELS.

Much as I know that a flash is essential, how do you think will the 1.4 fare in static stagelight...?50mm 1.4 is a good fast lens.. I think it would work well in low lights w/ high shutter speed.. well if its too dark.. flash is still essential and w/ this lens you have more control than you standard kit lens when it comes to low light..
am planning also to have either the 1.4 but the cheaper alternative will be the 50mm 1.8 ... its essential to have a fast prime lens.. ideal for night concert shots and such

I'm thinking of getting the 1.4
low-light shooting seems interesting. there's a 1.2 out right now pero DAMN... ang mahal. it costs about the same as a round trip ticket to pinas from NY (off-peak) plus enough money to last for about a month
...that or the EF 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. seems like it's gonna make for a good all-around lens.

the only fast prime lens I have now is my lens for my film slr.. a 50mm 1.4 .. sarap ng bokeh..
^__^V
sadly di pwede sa dslr ko.. so eto.. looing forward to acquiring kahit yung 50mm 1.8 lng.. 1.4 cguro if medyo maka budget but the 1.2L .. i think overkill na talaga sa bulsa ko yun

1.8 should still be pretty good, dude. tlgang overkill naman ata yung 1.2 e (and like you said, overkill din sa bulsa!) sucks that di pwede sa DSLR yung 50mm mo

Ano yung best features ng Canon Eos 350D, 450D, at 40D? Gusto ko lang marinig sa mga users nito.

1000D is the first 4 series line ng Canon... entry level dSLR na rin... basically when we say entry level.. for newbies..
300D, 350D, 400D & 450D are entry level dSLRs ng Canon of the 3 series.. basically first line sila.. medyo smaller ang sensor nila... they are also the most fragile of the dSLR line ng Canon.. for beginners .. 400D & 450D have 9 AF points.. I dunno sa 350D and 300D but I think mas less.. 6-7 AF points siguro.. can shoot 3 frames per second..
yung 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D and 50D dSLRs ng Canon are the 2 series.. semi-pro level.. a notch higher in performance and durability.. weather sealed also... full frame sensors.. more than 9 AF points.. 50D i think has 12 AF points.. can take on 8 frames per second...
yung 1 series are the gods of the Canon dSLR line.. the 1D Mark III, 1Ds Mark III, 5D Mark II... these are for the professional na talaga... 15 AF points or higher.. can shoot 10-15 frames per second.. mark III series are like uber heavy and such.. cameras you would use in Formula 1 racing photography to field assignment sa Africa for National Geographic.. wehehehehe
in a sense as what I found in wikipedia..
